SLE has developed Phoenix, a Service Management and Information System oriented to the needs of public transport networks. Phoenix locates and follows a fleet of vehicles in real time using GPS, manages the traffic by means of calculation of service advance / delay information and disseminates this to passengers by means of on-board signs and voice announcements and signs at stops.
A Web-enabled version of Phoenix means that the latest implementations are not constrained by the need to set up a central system for each network.
This thin-client application is usable on the move at any point, and allows the management numerous sub-networks to be aggregated. It is offered as a service available to public transport operators.
